TIM GRAY
Starting in horses at the age of 8 I have competed in many different disciplines, polo, eventing, jumpers and more. Over time I solidified my career as a equine professional, groom, exercise rider, breaking and training horse, polo instructor, and farrier. In addition, to the 25 years in the equine industry with the past 10 years as a farrier I earned an engineering degree from Virginia Tech. I have found that the combination of a strong background as a horseman and as an engineer allows me to more fully understand the specific needs of the horse and how to apply proper balance and mechanics to improve hoof quality and movement. My strong engineering background allows me to properly develop and apply an innovative custom shoeing package for each hoof's specific needs. By focusing on proper mechanics, support, and dynamic loading I can improve the hoof quality, comfort, and movement of even the most challenging cases.
